Erin studied at the prestigious Sir John Cass Department of Art at London Guildhall University where she learned the fundamental skills of jewellery making and silversmithing. This rigorous education in the traditional skills means that all of Erin’s work is made to the highest standards using only the highest quality materials. Erin has used her deep understanding of the traditional skills to further develop methods to bring colour, depth, and texture to her work.
I started making jewellery when I was about 8, but I couldn’t find a market for my braided necklaces and fimo beads and brooches! Instead, I went to London in 1999 and studied Jewellery and its allied crafts at Sir John Cass department of Art at London Guildhall University.
I am inspired by so many things. The ebb and flow of the natural world around me, great design, wonderful craftsmanship, lovely things. I love doodling with metal and working with the different properties of metal and stones to unearth the jewellery within.
I set up my own boutique shop so that I could deal personally with my customers, rather than hiding in a workshop. I love working for myself and enjoy the satisfaction of making special pieces for people that will be treasured forever as heirlooms of the future.
