“My fascination and love of powerful skies with rich landscapes dates from my childhood in Northumberland.
After gaining a B A Hons degree in Textile Design, I initially pursued a design career. This experience taught me the importance of colour and space in a commercial world but also my desire to be free to paint.
In the late 80’s I spent time in Canada soaking up the vast landscapes and pure air. On returning to the UK I enjoyed teaching art in secondary education and subsequently I have painted full time.
My current body of work seeks to explore the feel of unchallenged space and deep interwoven colours to form strong and often abstract landscapes.”
