After graduating from University College Falmouth in 2006 with a degree in Illustration, Rosie lived and worked in Bristol for a number of years before returning to Cornwall in early 2012 to focus on her creative practice.
Since then Rosie has been given the wonderful opportunity to train as a glass blower with Malcolm Sutcliffe at his Studio in Penryn. Her work uses the traditional craft of glass blowing to create fresh, clean, contemporary pieces and her background in illustration and design naturally feeds into this. Rosie uses the technique of sandblasting to produce a series of individual and unique pieces. Inspired by natural forms her designs consist of pared down, simplified shapes that give a delicate, yet clean, graphic quality to her work.
